an environmentally responsible, healthy, and prosperous environment
that improves quality of life.
Mission of the Northwest Ohio Green
Building Council:
To raise awareness of the environmental, economic, and health impacts
of sustainable building methods and practices as a way to transform
the built environment.
The Vision of the Northwest Ohio Green
Building Council:
To live, work, and play in a region where sustainable design and practices
are expected by businesses and residents, supported by governments and
institutions, and provided by designers, builders, and developers.
The Goals of the Northwest Ohio Green
Building Council:
-To inspire consumers, designers, builders, and regulators to understand,
appreciate, practice, and support sustainable design principles.
-To educate the public and the building industry regarding the environmental
and economic benefits of sustainable buildings
-To collaborate with individuals and organizations to promote sustainability
in the region and beyond
-To educate public officials about sustainable design, the use of the
LEED sustainable building standards, and sustainable building programs
throughout the region
